Fashion cycles every 20 years, according to some. Accordingly, we might see some of the same themes in fall 2023 as we did in fall 2003. During that time, many collections had a Space Age theme, with lots of references to André Courrèges’ cookie-cutter minis.

As opposed to this girlier look, there was a sultrier, sexier vibe, often with corsetry and bondage. In other places, streamlined sportiness gave way to Mad Max references and medieval armor nods. The message? Women can be strong and sexy; flirty and fierce.
