A statement will be released shortly regarding Jeremy Scott’s departure from Moschino after 10 years as creative director.
Massimo Ferretti, executive chairman of Moschino’s parent company Aeffe, said he was fortunate to work with the creative force that is Jeremy Scott. “I would like to thank him for his ten years of commitment to Franco Moschino’s legacy house and for ushering in a distinct and joyful vision that will forever be a part of Moschino history.”
It was a wonderful celebration of creativity and imagination during Scott’s tenure at Moschino. Additionally, he thanked Ferretti “for the honor of leading this iconic house” and his fans around the world for their support.
Taking over from longtime creative director Rossella Jardini who carried forward Franco Moschino’s torch, Scott was able to grasp the founder’s tongue-in-cheek humor and ironic spirit and brought the brand to the attention of celebrities such as Katy Perry and Gwen Stefani.
It was a collection inspired by 1980s Ladies Who Lunch suits and prim coats with some serious warping, which he presented in Milan last month for the fall 2023 season.
Hemlines, buttons, contrast trims, floral and houndstooth prints appeared to be melting and dripping like Salvador Dalí’s clocks.
