GIVENCHY PRE FALL 2015
ARNAULT : 1 – PINAULT : 0
In the Bois de Boulogne, in the outskirts of Paris, Bernard Arnault, the Luxury French tycoon has asked Frank Gehry, the 85 year old American-Canadian architect to conceive a new Art and music place which will mark the LVMH empire.
Steel structure, its curved sails reaching into a windblown sky, iceberg in a forest, or boat in a city, is the vision of Frank Gehry combined to the one of Bernard Arnault. The president Francois holland said that it is the new “cathedral of light”, with its unique architecture.
From a democrate President, such a thought is quite amazing. However we can only congratulate Bernard Arnault for having been able to build such a monument where François Pinault failt.
GALLIANO / MARGIELA
The talented British designer is back, and he has chosen a white, minimal environment. At the front row you had Kate Moss and Anna Wintour, two faithful fashionistas, as well as designers like Alber Elbaz (Lanvin) and Christopher Bailey (Burberry). John Galliano presented this Haute couture collection of twenty models in a modern building in central London, with only hundred guests. In fashion, Galliano is like a chameleon. He is a genius.
VERTU AND BENTLEY
For the presentation of Haute Couture, we highly recommend you the new Vertu telephone that Vertu has developed for Bentley a Grade 5 titanium casing and a sleek quilted trim to match Bentley styling.
With a Grade 5 titanium, engine-turned back plate, echoing Bentley’s instrument panel, this edition also carries a forged metal winged Bentley badge and contains exclusive Bentley content.
The fine attention to detail is carried through to the screws, modelled on the air vents of Bentley’s automobiles. It’s wrapped in diamond-stitched, quilted calf leather, crafted by one of Europe’s oldest tanneries using traditional methods.

We raise our voice, even if it is broken, to light a candle against indifference.
In solidarity, we will not publish today.
