WOMAN IN GOLD
“A woman’s natural beauty can be illuminated with the right piece of jewelry, and that is my mission. To create jewelry that will make every woman look and feel uniquely beautiful.” – Jacquie Aiche
Having been raised in a multi-cultural home with both Egyptian and American parents, Jacquie’s distinctive style was born. It is the unlikely combination of these two richly storied heritages that creates her signature aesthetic. The merging of Native American turquoise relics, fossils and Continue reading
MORE MAGIC HAUTE COUTURE
Franck Sorbier’s fashion shows are always an exceptional and magic moment. For the poet, Haute Couture is a land that imagination forgot. Many will speak of it as legend or as fantasy or even as mythology. And that is perfectly fine. We have no objection. However, Haute Couture is a real fact of life. And, as you cross the Bridge of Belief, as you imagine yourself lifting out of the logic and out of the reason of the consensus reality, moving beyond time and space and beyond time-space, you can find that that land is and has been forgotten by the imagination.
As one were to approach the catwalk, it would be located in the Pacific Ocean, far from other land masses, to be sure. And one would note first what seemed to be a cloud or a mist that seemed to hang low over the ocean. And out of that mist Continue reading

ZODIAC IN FASHION
China has a sumptuous history filled with legend and traditions. Folklore suggests that the Chinese Zodiac was born when the Jade Emperor of China summoned animals from across the globe to help restore the world to order.
The Shēngxiào, literally “birth likeness”, is also known in English as the Chinese zodiac. Zodiac derives from the similar concept in western astrology and means “circle of animals”. It is a scheme and systematic plan of future action that relates each year to an animal and its reputed attributes according to a 12-year cycle, and it remains popular in several Continue reading
BACK TO 70’S BY MIU MIU
Polyester was the material of choice and bright colors were everywhere. Men and women alike were wearing very tight fitting pants and platform shoes. By 1973, most women were wearing high cut boots and low cut pants.
Early 1970s fashion was a fun era. It culminated some of the best elements of the 60s and perfected and/or exaggerated them. Some of the best clothing produced in the 1970s perfectly blended the mods with the hippies.
Every woman had a cowl neck sweater in her closet and every man had a few striped v-neck velour shirts. Tunics, culottes and robes were also very popular. Sometimes it’s hard to tell which dresses were meant to be worn at home, and which ones were for a night on the town.
There is one common theme throughout fashion in the 1970s: pants were tight fitting. And it is probably the first full decade in which women could be seen wearing pants in every walk of life.
This is today Mui Mui’s style, isn’t it ?

NEW PERLA IN PARIS
The Italian lingerie brand La Perla has unveiled its new, revamped Parisian space on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The 2,500-ft2 space covers two floors, with an area specifically set aside for men’s underwear. This year, the brand unveiled its very first men’s loungewear collection on the catwalks of Pitti Uomo in Florence.
Italian architecture predominates throughout Baciocchi’s design for La Perla. References to the work of Carlo Scarpa from the Castelvecchio Museum in Verona are found in the soft colored walls covered with painted fabric and in the display cases within the store. The color palette plays on the minimalism of the Portuguese marble slabs. The arch, a distinctive element of Italian art, is also very present—especially as regards windows.
The opening of the Parisian flagship is part of a wider plan to revive the Italian label since its acquisition by holding company Pacific Global Continue reading

PIN-UP KIM
By photographying her naked body, Kim Kardashian does not look for the buzz but for the recognition of her own ego in reinventing the Pin-up of the 1950’s. By reproducing and copying old ideas to be published in fashion magazines, she makes a fool of the fashion world.
The fashion Designers have no interest to work with starlets like the French Kardarshian, Nabilla because it does not bring them any added value to the public. Noone is fooled and thinks Ms X or Ms Y enjoys wearing a dress of Haute Couture as often those clothes are uncomfortable and awkward to wear.
The brands carry on broadcasting disinformation about their products. Kim mimes the Pin-up Marilyn Monroe. Although it is a pale imitation of the beautiful women who wanted to shine as a star and among the famous people to finally died in a poor hotel.
Kim Kardashian dreams about being the muse of a fashion designer like Continue reading
